Time Flies When You're Having Fun!

CEO Viewpoint:

The reason they call old adages, an old adage, is because they generally are true. Tomorrow marks the end of my second year with OKCMAR and the beginning of my third year. I wish to thank all of the membership and especially the current and past directors for this wonderful journey they have walked with me. Just like in a marriage, learning to live together has its ups and downs, but I sincerely hope you are as committed to OKCMAR as I am to you. Thank you again for a wonderful and challenging two years and.... Happy Anniversary to Us!

Oh yes, remember to VOTE-VOTE- VOTE !

Dawn, it has been a great two years. So much has changed, so much has gotten better, the MLS, the service, and the communication. You have been an integral part of OKCMAR's success, and I look forward to more years of your leadership.

Thank you Joe! I sincerely believe that the REALTOR family is the cornerstone of our economy and society. I am so grateful to the higher forces that led me to this career. I absolutely love what I do and look forward to going to work every day. Even though I have been doing this for many years now I am never bored and it is never old.

I can't believe it has been two years! Where did the time go? I feel like it was yesterday that I was in the interview. I so appreciate the nod to my leadership ability but sincerely all the positive changes members see come from e sources- A Board of Directors that see beyond their own needs and are preparing for the future, members who volunteer and believe they are making a difference and a board that suppports a member-driven culture and an absolutely incredible staff!

I know there was a lot of focus on how many did not make it through my first year and as hard as that was I did it for the members- they deserve the best. I wish members could see how many have been with me through the last two years- how many have been serving the membership this last year. I think I will blog about this.... :)

Thank you so much Susan & Happy Anniversary!

It means a great deal to me to hear from members. I look to year three as the opportunity to actively reach out to the members and help them understand and embrace the strategic plan. I really wished I could have done this immediately but I had a foundation to rebuild first.

I can't wait to see what the members will build in 2010!
