Oklahoma City Metro Home Searching Made Simple
OKCMAR & MLSOK have launched their billboard campaign promoting the new public-sided website: http://www.centraloklahomaproperties.com/ This new site is rich with information the consumer may use when looking for a home in the Oklahoma City Metro area. OKCMAR is very proud to offer this exceptional tool for people looking to buy a home in the Oklahoma City area.
There is something in it for the agents too! On the home page, at the very bottom is a members only link. Clicking on that link will give the agent and the broker in depth reporting on the number of hits a particular property (which they have listed) has received. This ia a great method to keep in contact with your sellers! Send them the report every week via email.
Brokers, while your at it, take advantage of MLSOK's free website syndication to the major search engines by registering with ListHub. Go to wwww.listhub.com and click create account. Fill out the fields- make sure you choose Oklahoma City as the MLS/Association you are affiliated with and then choose all or pick and choose the search engines you want utilized.
MLS is on your side- working for you!

Dawn, we got our first request for showing from the new public search site. Seems like it is already working.
That is great! We have billboards all over the city promoting it
Dawn, I think that is will only get stronger for us. People want to search locally, and they want comprehensive information. If people can see 12 pictures and virtual tours for our listings. Why would they go to realtor.com to get 4 pictures and no tours unless the Realtor wants to spend bags of money yearly? The public wins and our local Realtors save money that can be better spent on local marketing.
Joe you hit the nail on the head about saving money. While our MLS fees increased slightly (using all discounts they increased from $30 to $40 per month and Lock box fees went down to $22.50 from $25 this year) those increases were spent to invest in products and services THAT MAKE REALTORS MONEY through lead and referral generation, thorough increased turnaround time, faster closings, and effective marketing or to SAVE REALTORS MONEY through built in system the REALTOR no longer needs to purchase or through saved time. Remember time is probably our most valuable commodity.
I appreciate any member who fully understands the value of what the MLS Board has implemented in the last three years. They are and continue to be true visionaries in the field.
